The Polynesian God of Fertility Lono, along with Tanaloa and Maui, was one of the three paramount gods of Polynesia and was universally loved. His name as Lono or Rongo, is preserved to this day on every single island of the "Polynesian Triangle" from Hawaii to Aotearoa (New Zealand). Lono came to earth from the sky and created the people of the islands. Upon returning to the skies his benevolence and continuing love for the people (his children) was shown when he enriched the rain with fertilizer to produce abundant crops. |

Our Lono, originally from Rarotonga, is a reproduction of the only remaining sculpture of Lono in the world. It is held as a guarded treasure by the British Museum in London. Now you can own an exact replica of this stately figure. So well loved, we carve a 15 inch or 10 inch bust. |
